· Year-round fertilization/ nutrient programs

Proper fertilization is one of the most commonly misused practices in landscape. What many don’t have is a PLANT SPECIFIC fertilizer program. Generic 15-15-15, 2-3 times a year on your entire landscape might do more harm then good. Every plant and tree requires its own type of nutrient program. · Weed removal and prevention

Similar to pests or disease on your plants, weeds are most controllable if PREVENTED. Think about the time, cost and labor spent on weed pulling or spraying.  Pre-Emergent treatments can protect your landscape for up to 4- 6 months. If weeds are left to grow they can become “established” and become an annual problem. Aguilar Plant Care has the technology to treat anywhere from a small yard to acres at a time.  If weeds have already sprouted a weed specific removal treatment is also available (Oxalis, Broadleafs, Nutsedge, etc.).       

   

· Fruit prevention

Fruit prevention is offered to any type of tree that produces fruit, most commonly olive trees. Although beautiful, these trees produce fruit that stains expensive stones or pavers. Our treatments are effective against fruit production without harming the tree or surrounding plants’ health. Treatments are very time sensitive. Treatments must be made while flowers are budding/flowering.  

· Gopher control

Gophers can cause the most damage to your landscape or yard in the shortest amount of time. They feed on plant roots, seeds, bulbs, and other plants. All trees (Any Size)

Our latest technology and new equipment allows for the safest and most efficient treatments of any size tree or plant, about 50ft and above! From Oaks, Pines, Palms, Eucalyptus, Tipuanas, etc. If spraying is not an option we also use soil treatments as suggested by UCIPM. NEVER do we drill or make unnatural incisions on the tree or plant. Not only is that harmful to the tree but it makes a possible entry point for insects, diseases, or pathogens. We have the technology to probe the soil and inject or drench gallons per minute of needed fertilizers, insecticide or fungicides in the safest most effective method.

Palm Trees
Palms are a Southern California landmark tree. Although; native to the climate, many are suspect to injury because of poor cultural practices (watering, trimming, planting, fertilizer, etc.).  Never trim any fronds that are still “green”. Keep any trimming equipment clean, and properly sanitized. Some Palms are very rare, expensive, and difficult to replace (removal with crane, etc.) Aguilar Plant Care offers site, and palm specific nutrient programs, along with preventative fungicides, and pest treatments.

Ornamentals are what makes a landscape complete. These decorative plants can thrive in many types of landscapes if properly maintained. Since many times a large number of the same types of plant are planted near each other a pest or disease outbreak can happen in a short amount of time. Turf
